Cowhide Leather
A hand?made patchwork of cowhide and leather, this rug arranges hundreds of small squares into a subtle checkerboard mosaic. The multi-colored ground mixes ivory, beige, light brown, tan and brown hides with pops of blue and orange, and occasional spotted and striped pieces that add organic contrast. The surface has the short, tactile hair-on-hide of natural cowhide with visible leather stitching between patches, giving the piece a slightly varied texture that reads warm and layered underfoot.
