The piece
Patchwork
A stitched patchwork of rectangular and square panels creates a bold, modern composition in rich jewel tones. Blocks of red, violet, purple, burgundy and maroon sit against a multi-hued background, and you can see subtle pattern changes from panel to panel — geometric motifs, soft waves and narrow ribbed lines — that add visual interest without overwhelming the design. Hand woven of 100% wool, the surface has a pleasing, slightly dense nap that invites touch; the seams between patches are visible as finely stitched joins, giving the rug a crafted, tactile quality.

This piece works well as a color anchor in contemporary living rooms, layered in a bedroom to introduce warmth and depth, or placed in a creative home office to bring energy and personality to the floor. Pair it with midcentury wood furniture and brass accents for a curated look, or layer it over neutral furnishings to introduce rich color without competing patterns. It also complements eclectic and bohemian schemes where mixed textures and saturated hues are welcome.
