The piece
Cowhide - Patchwork
A tightly arranged patchwork of rectangular hide tiles creates a bold, geometric checkerboard across the surface. Rich browns and warm orange panels alternate with ivory and darker mottled cowhide accents, giving the rug a lively, multi-tonal background. Handmade of cowhide and leather, the surface has the low, natural nap and subtle sheen of hair-on-hide, with gentle variations in color and grain that you can feel underhand. The stitched seams between tiles add a tactile linework that reads as both structured and organic.

It also suits an industrial loft or mid-century space where graphic pattern and natural materials bring contrast to metal and concrete finishes. In a dining room or home office, the rug adds pattern without overwhelming, pairing nicely with neutral upholstery, warm woods, and matte metal accents.
