Handmade from genuine cowhide and leather, this rug is a meticulously stitched patchwork of small square hides that form a refined checkerboard pattern. The multi-hued field blends beige, cream, ivory, light brown and richer brown tones, with natural spotting and subtle variations across each tile that give the surface depth and character. The hair-on-hide texture is soft to the touch while the leather seams add a slight tactile contrast, creating a layered, dimensional feel underfoot.
