Product Description

Handmade of cowhide and leather, this rug is a tightly stitched patchwork of small square tiles that form a refined checkerboard mosaic. The multi-tonal field brings together beige, light brown, cream, ivory, brown and black, with occasional speckled or marbled hides that add natural variation and depth. The hair-on-hide surface has a low, velvety nap with a soft sheen where light catches the fur, and the leather backing gives the piece a grounded, structured feel.

This rug complements modern farmhouse, rustic contemporary, or transitional interiors, and pairs especially well with warm wood finishes, leather seating, and neutral upholstery. Place it to anchor a living room seating group, beneath a dining table for a layered look, or in an entry or home office to introduce tactile contrast and subtle pattern without overpowering the room.
