The piece
Jajim
A hand-made wool flatweave in a warm orange ground, this rug pairs a narrow plaid of cream and soft tan stripes with tiny, scattered multicolor dots in pink, red and golden yellow. The pattern is straightforward and artisanal: vertical and horizontal bands create a subtle grid while the small embroidered-like accents add a playful, handcrafted touch. The low, firm weave has a slightly textured hand that sits close to the floor and reveals the join where panels meet, giving the piece authentic character.

This rug works well layered under a small seating grouping or placed in front of a sofa to introduce warmth and pattern without overpowering the room. It fits naturally in mid-century modern and bohemian interiors, and also brings a homey, lived-in feel to kitchens, sunrooms, or entryways. Pair it with natural wood furniture, neutral upholstery, and a few mixed textiles to complement the woven texture and lively orange tone.
