A compact checkerboard of hand-cut cowhide squares creates a graphic, geometric surface in warm orange tones interrupted by deep brown blocks. Each patch is hand-stitched to its neighbor, producing a subtly raised seam and a slightly varied nap that you can feel beneath your feet. The hair-on-hide surface offers a low, velvety texture with a natural leather sheen and tonal variation that gives the piece depth and character.
