The piece
Cowhide - Patchwork
Handmade from cowhide and leather, this patchwork rug arranges narrow rectangular pieces into a tight, repeating grid that highlights both pattern and material. An orange field forms the background, while a range of brown tones—from light caramel to deep chocolate—punctuate the layout with vertical bars and subtle tonal shifts. The hair-on-hide surface has a low nap and gentle sheen; stitched seams create a faint ridge that adds tactile interest underfoot.

The rug’s geometric patchwork and natural hide texture bridge modern and rustic aesthetics, making it well suited to mid-century modern living rooms, industrial lofts, or warm, layered bohemian schemes. Use it to anchor a seating group, add depth beneath a dining table, or introduce color and texture in an entry or home office. It pairs nicely with leather seating, warm wood finishes, matte black metal accents, and neutral textiles.
