The piece
Jajim
Hand made of 100% wool, this flatwoven piece lays down a strong graphic presence with a stacked lozenge pattern worked in vertical bands on an orange ground. Alternating stripes of deep navy, burgundy and warm ivory create a steady rhythm, while tiny hand-tied knots in blue, yellow, green and rust punctuate the field with subtle color notes. The low-profile weave feels firm and tactile underfoot, with narrow woven band borders at the ends that neatly frame the design.
