A finely detailed floral medallion and scrolling vine pattern sits on a warm pink field, surrounded by a deeper rose-pink border that frames the design. Cream fills the inner field and balances the palette, while accents of purple, olive, blue and brown add depth to the florals and arabesques. Handmade from wool and silk, the rug has a soft, dense wool pile with silk highlights woven through the motifs; the silk catches light for a gentle sheen that contrasts with the matte warmth of the wool.

Dining Room
Choose a rug that extends at least 24 inches beyond each side of the table so chairs can slide in and out comfortably.
Entryway
A 3x5 or 4x6 rug works well for most entryways. Make sure it does not interfere with the door opening.
Living Room
For a seating area, choose a rug large enough so that at least the front legs of all furniture pieces sit on the rug. Common sizes are 8x10 or 9x12.
Kitchen
A runner rug works great in front of the sink or stove. For larger kitchens, a 4x6 or 5x8 can anchor the space.
Bedroom
Place a large rug under the bed so it extends 2-3 feet on each side, or use smaller rugs on either side of the bed.
