A classic Persian medallion layout set on a deep red field, this hand made wool rug shows a dense array of scrolling floral vines and palmettes that draw the eye toward a central, multi-layered medallion. A broad dark blue main border, flanked by narrower guard borders, frames the design; lighter blue, cream and beige highlights trace the motifs while touches of green and soft pink add delicate contrast. The overall effect is richly patterned and balanced, with ornate corner spandrels and finely detailed motifs throughout.
Hand made of 100% wool, the pile feels soft with a subtle natural sheen and a satisfying, tactile density from the knotting.
