A classic Persian medallion runner worked on a rich red ground, this hand-knotted wool rug carries repeating central medallions and finely detailed floral sprays along its length, all enclosed by a narrow, multi-band border. The red background is balanced by cream and ivory highlights, navy and deep-blue outlines, warm gold and muted green accents, and soft beige tones that define the motifs and give the pattern clear, elegant contrast.
Hand-knotted wool construction creates a dense, low-to-medium pile with a tactile, resilient feel and precise pattern clarity. Dining Room
Choose a rug that extends at least 24 inches beyond each side of the table so chairs can slide in and out comfortably.
Entryway
A 3x5 or 4x6 rug works well for most entryways. Make sure it does not interfere with the door opening.
Living Room
For a seating area, choose a rug large enough so that at least the front legs of all furniture pieces sit on the rug. Common sizes are 8x10 or 9x12.
Kitchen
A runner rug works great in front of the sink or stove. For larger kitchens, a 4x6 or 5x8 can anchor the space.
Bedroom
Place a large rug under the bed so it extends 2-3 feet on each side, or use smaller rugs on either side of the bed.
