The piece
Ghom Silk
A finely detailed Persian-style medallion rug with a warm red field and an elongated central medallion in deep navy and ivory. The surface is densely knotted with intricate floral and geometric motifs—small rosettes, lattice diamonds and palmette forms—balanced by multiple guard borders that repeat floral and rosette elements in navy, ivory and touches of muted gold. Hand made of silk, the pile has a low, lustrous finish that feels smooth and cool to the touch and gives the pattern a subtle sheen that changes with light. Short silk fringe finishes the ends for a classic look.
