Hand-knotted from 100% hand-spun wool, this traditional Caucasian medallion rug sits on a rich red background that immediately draws the eye. A deep navy-blue central medallion and complementary blue fields are detailed with stepped geometric motifs in cream, gold and light blue, while small rosettes and stylized florals in green and brown punctuate the field. A cream border of repeating floral roundels and vine work frames the composition, adding contrast and clarity to the pattern. The hand-spun wool pile has a soft, tactile surface with a subtle natural luster and a low-to-medium pile height that reveals clear knot definition and a comfortable underfoot feel.
