The piece
Vorhang
A rich red field anchors a band of repeating geometric medallions in beige, black, yellow and brown, their stepped diamond forms and angular detailing giving the piece a traditional, handwoven character. Below the woven band, long hand-tied yarn strands and tassels create a vertical, tactile fringe that adds movement and depth. Hand made of 100% wool, the construction has a warm, slightly dense hand — the knotted sections and braided edges feel substantial and the tasselled ends provide a lively contrast in texture.
