The piece
Balouch
A rich red field provides a warm backdrop for a tightly worked diamond lattice of geometric medallions and small rosettes in beige and blue. Narrow inner borders give way to stepped outer bands with angular motifs, creating a layered, tribal-inspired layout with lots of fine detail. Handmade of wool, the rug has a dense, textured surface that feels substantial underfoot and shows the precision of each motif.
