A dense Persian medallion design rests on a warm red field, where a carved ivory medallion and surrounding floral sprays form the focal point. Tiny repeating floral and geometric motifs fill the background, framed by an ivory scrolling vine border and fine guard bands. Hand made of wool with silk, the wool pile feels substantial and springy beneath your hand while the silk highlights give the floral details a subtle, satiny sheen. The short fringe at the ends and the tightly knotted construction create a crisp edge and refined surface texture.
