The piece
Jajim
Handmade wool flatweave with a bold vertical stripe composition and stepped geometric motifs. A rich red field anchors alternating bands of rust orange, cream, olive and charcoal, while a central slate-teal stripe—highlighted by a narrow turquoise line—runs the length of the piece. Small hand-knotted slubs and colorful edge pom-poms add visible evidence of the handcrafted process. The low, tightly woven surface lies flat underfoot and shows a pleasant, tactile texture from the hand-spun wool.
