This hand-knotted, Persian-inspired rug presents a dense field of scrolling vines and floral medallions set against a red background that brings warmth to the design. Intricate motifs in cream, blue and dark blue are punctuated with touches of green, orange, brown and pink, creating layered interest without overwhelming the pattern. Running borders frame the central field with repeating floral cartouches and vine work, giving the piece a traditional, time-honored appearance.

Dining Room
Choose a rug that extends at least 24 inches beyond each side of the table so chairs can slide in and out comfortably.
Entryway
A 3x5 or 4x6 rug works well for most entryways. Make sure it does not interfere with the door opening.
Living Room
For a seating area, choose a rug large enough so that at least the front legs of all furniture pieces sit on the rug. Common sizes are 8x10 or 9x12.
Kitchen
A runner rug works great in front of the sink or stove. For larger kitchens, a 4x6 or 5x8 can anchor the space.
Bedroom
Place a large rug under the bed so it extends 2-3 feet on each side, or use smaller rugs on either side of the bed.
