Hand knotted in 100% hand-spun wool, this rug features a rich red ground patterned with a repeating arrangement of geometric medallions and stylized floral accents. Each octagonal and star-like motif is defined in a mix of navy blue and bright blue, with cream and peach highlights and deeper salmon and brown touches that add depth. Fine outlining in black and gray gives the motifs crisp definition while small green accents enliven the composition. A layered cream border framed with delicate star and vine motifs balances the saturated center and adds a refined edge to the overall design. The hand-spun wool pile has a warm, tactile quality—slightly nubby from natural fiber and knotting—that feels soft underfoot and reveals subtle variation in tone across the surface.
