Hand-knotted from 100% wool in Tibet, this piece from the Nepal Collection presents a bold red field finished with fringe on the ends. An architectural cityscape motif occupies the lower right corner, depicting stylized skyscrapers, pagodas, signage, and a dragon rendered in cream, light brown, light blue, navy blue, and burgundy. Gold-toned Chinese calligraphy accents the upper left corner, framed by a subtle, thin interior border. The high wool pile provides a plush, substantial texture underfoot.
