Product Description
The Kilim Fars 8 Ft Runner is a hand-knotted textile that exemplifies traditional craftsmanship and timeless appeal. Crafted from 100% wool, the rug showcases a geometric pattern composed of diamond motifs that are skillfully outlined and filled with a multitude of vivid colors including red, beige, blue, brown, ivory, yellow, and light blue, all set against a rich red background. The bold, linear design is framed by a detailed border that echoes the primary pattern's angular aesthetic.
With its well-defined weave, the texture of the rug is both durable and tactile, offering comfort underfoot. The addition of fringe on either end adds to the authentic, handcrafted appearance. As a semi-antique piece, this runner carries a sense of history and character that can elevate any space.
This rug would seamlessly integrate into interiors that honor both traditional and eclectic styles. It would be particularly at home in entryways, corridors, or alongside a kitchen island, bringing warmth and color to the space. It could also serve as a unifying element in a living area that features global inspirations or as a striking contrast in a minimalistic setting that benefits from an infusion of pattern and heritage.

Dining Room
Choose a rug that extends at least 24 inches beyond each side of the table so chairs can slide in and out comfortably.
Entryway
A 3x5 or 4x6 rug works well for most entryways. Make sure it does not interfere with the door opening.
Living Room
For a seating area, choose a rug large enough so that at least the front legs of all furniture pieces sit on the rug. Common sizes are 8x10 or 9x12.
Kitchen
A runner rug works great in front of the sink or stove. For larger kitchens, a 4x6 or 5x8 can anchor the space.
Bedroom
Place a large rug under the bed so it extends 2-3 feet on each side, or use smaller rugs on either side of the bed.
Outdoor
Measure your patio or deck area and choose a rug that fits within the furniture grouping, leaving a few inches of clearance on all sides.
- Vacuum regularly on a low suction setting to remove surface dirt.
- Spot clean stains immediately with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
- Deep clean by hand using a mixture of cool water and mild wool-safe soap.
- Have the rug professionally cleaned every 3-5 years.
- Rotate the rug every 6 months to ensure even wear and fading.
Consider the existing colors in your room, including walls, furniture, and decor. A rug can either complement or contrast with these elements.
Lighter colors make a room feel larger and more open, while darker colors add warmth and coziness.
If your room has a lot of patterns, choose a solid or subtly patterned rug. If your room is mostly solid colors, a patterned rug can add visual interest.
