Shag rugs
Shag rugs have a long, dense pile that feels soft and warm underfoot as the evenings turn cold. They suit bedrooms and living rooms where people sit on the floor or walk barefoot.

Frequently asked questions
Where should I use a shag rug?
Shag works well in bedrooms, living rooms and family rooms with lighter foot traffic. In busy hallways or under dining chairs a flatter pile is easier to live with.
How do I care for a shag rug?
Vacuum with the beater bar off or raised so it does not pull the pile, shake out small rugs outdoors and blot spills quickly. Check the care notes on each rug for its specific cleaning advice.
Do shag rugs need a rug pad?
A pad keeps a shag rug from shifting, adds cushion and helps protect the floor underneath. It also makes the rug easier to vacuum because it stays flat.
