Why we love Lexington

Lexington sits in the heart of the Bluegrass, where rolling pastures stretch beneath wide skies and miles of dark plank fences trace the hills. This is horse country at its most picturesque, with thoroughbreds grazing in morning mist, stone walls winding along country lanes, and spring bringing a green so rich it seems to glow. Nearby towns like Versailles, Midway, Paris and Georgetown add their own charm, with brick storefronts, tree-lined streets and a easy, welcoming pace. Add Kentucky's love of bourbon, bluegrass music and basketball, and you have a place with real heart.

Homes here honor that heritage, from stately Georgian and Federal brick houses to farmhouses and cozy newer builds. A great rug ties it all together, softening hardwood floors and giving living rooms, dining rooms and entryways a finished, gracious look. Lexington shoppers on Rugs.com are leaning toward navy blue, blue and ivory, in vintage, modern and traditional designs. Explore what the Bluegrass loves and find the rug that makes your home feel like yours.
