Why we love Richmond
Richmond sits at a lovely meeting point in central Kentucky, where the gentle Bluegrass countryside begins to rise toward the wooded Appalachian foothills. Pastures roll out behind fences and old stone walls, tobacco barns and farmhouses dot the back roads, and the light in every season has a soft, golden quality. Berea, just down the road, is known far and wide as a crafts town, where weaving, woodwork and handmade artistry are part of the local identity. Bybee, Jinks and Ravenna add their own quiet, small-town charm to the region.
Homes here are made for gathering: porches for slow evenings, kitchens that smell of cornbread and country cooking, living rooms where family settles in after a day outdoors. A great rug is what pulls those rooms together, adding warmth underfoot and a touch of craft that fits a place so proud of its handmade heritage. Rugs.com brings you the styles Richmond shoppers are choosing now, so you can find the one that feels like home.

Soft golden light over green pastures calls for restful tones. Ivory and latte brown rugs bring that glow indoors and keep a living room feeling warm and airy.
A Town Proud of Handmade
Berea's craft heritage makes hand made and hand braided rugs feel right at home. A woven piece adds texture and a story to any room, from den to dining room.
Four Seasons at Home
Bright springs, green summers, colorful autumns and cool winters change how rooms feel. A rectangle rug in ivory and gray grounds a space through every season and feels cozy underfoot.

What Richmond loves
Shoppers here are leaning toward ivory, latte brown, and ivory and gray, a calm and welcoming palette that echoes Kentucky's soft light and natural textures. Modern designs lead the way, with vintage and traditional styles close behind, so there is room for both clean-lined living rooms and cozy, heirloom-minded spaces. Machine made rugs are the favorite, while hand made and hand braided pieces nod to the region's love of craft. Rectangle shapes anchor rooms beautifully.
