Its taken a couple weeks of airing out and spraying with an antimildew spray to help get the odor out. I wish they would take more care in the products they send and make sure they are not damp when getting rolled up and packaged.

Reviewing a different size or color: 5x8 · BlackThis rug was beautiful for about a month. Then the ends of the fabric started loosening and creating raised loops everywhere. It holds dirt and not only is it impossible to vacuum so many fibers shed off that it clogged and overheated my very nice Shark vacuum. Even on a hardwood setting it sheds terribly and now the pattern is fuzzy looking. Did someone expect me to take a very large area rug outside and beat it to clean it? Seems so! There is no other way. Either way the lighter parts have discolored so quickly in places that even got even a little traffic. I rarely write reviews let alone bad ones but this one needed to be called out.

Reviewing a different size or color: 9x12 · MultiLove this rug. Has a good weight to it so it doesn't move around on the floor. I thought the colors were going to be a lot more bright and more like rainbow colors but they are more desaturated. Which I am happy about! There are colors there you can't see in the pictures. No funny smells or loose threads. Overall really good carpet. The only thing you might want to consider is that one of my cats does like to scratch it. He must love the way it feels so if your cat loves to scratch carpets they might really like this one.

If you do the math that is a lot of money to spend in a short amount of time with this company. The first arrived in perfect NEW condition. The second rug arrived frayed signs of obvious wear and in used condition. The rug and pad were also wet! The condition and even colors of these rugs were vastly different. I reached out to customer service with photos and they essentially tried to gaslight me and tell me that the quality of the rug is as expected (not so because I have a frame of reference from the first one I ordered). I asked for a full refund and they offered me $66. Are you kidding me? Or a store credit for half of what I paid for the USED and damaged rug that they chose to send me. The bottom line is that rugs.com should not have sent me a used and frayed rug when I paid for a new one. Thats on them. If they want to send used rugs to customers then they should expect to refund the rug in full. If I wanted a used rug and work rug I would have shopped on Facebook market place or secondhand
Reviewing a different size or color: 8x11 · MultiI bought this rug to liven Up white walls and beige furniture in my home office/ guest bedroom. I loved it as soon as I unrolled it. Bright colorful and good quality. It does the job I bought it for.
Reviewing a different size or color: 5x8 · MultiAs above. I can't vacuum it as stitches/threads immediately get pulled up and out. Very rough repairs/corrections are visible on the rug. Wouldn't recommend except as decoration in VERY low traffic areas.
