The piece
Cowhide Leather
A dramatic, ink-splatter pattern sits against a deep black background, punctuated by warm beige and muted gray tones that radiate from a central axis. The irregular, hide-shaped silhouette gives the piece an organic, handcrafted character, while the contrast between the dark ground and the lighter blotches creates movement and depth. Hand made of cowhide and leather, the surface offers a hair-on texture that is soft to the touch with a subtle sheen; the leather underside is supple and supportive, and the natural edges retain the artisanal feel of a true hide.

This rug works well as a focal layer in a modern industrial living room, anchored beneath a low-profile sofa or coffee table to add contrast and texture. It pairs cleanly with monochrome or neutral schemes—think concrete floors, metal accents and pared-back furnishings—or can soften a rustic farmhouse setting when layered over warm wood floors. It also suits a contemporary office or reading nook where tactile detail and visual interest are needed without overwhelming the space.
