Product Description

Hand made of cowhide and leather, this rug is composed of a tight checkerboard of stitched squares set on a brown background. Patches of brown, light brown, tan, beige and ivory create a warm, rhythmic pattern with occasional marbling where individual hides show natural markings. The surface has a short, soft nap with a subtle sheen where the hair catches the light, and the hand-stitched seams give the piece a tactile, structured feel underfoot.

The warm neutral palette and geometric patchwork work equally well in contemporary, rustic, or transitional interiors. Pair it with warm wood floors and a leather sofa for a cozy living area, layer it in a home office or study to add visual depth, or place it in an entry or hallway to introduce texture and warmth. Its natural tones complement industrial, mid-century, or modern farmhouse schemes while anchoring seating arrangements and defining conversation spaces.
