Tabriz Mahi
A densely patterned, hand-made wool and silk rug with a warm brown ground and a scalloped diamond medallion at its center. The medallion layers rust, gold and cream tones against a finely detailed brown field filled with repeating floral motifs. Dark blue appears in the wider outer border, where palmettes and vines in cream and red provide contrast, while touches of blue, orange and purple punctuate the intricate design. Underhand feels soft and slightly plush from the wool pile, with silk highlights lending a subtle, smooth sheen and crisp clarity to the finer motifs.
