Nain
An oval wool-and-silk rug with a classic medallion layout and intricate floral arabesques. A cream ground frames a deep blue-green central field where a finely detailed medallion and scrolling vines unfold in brown, grey and green accents. A scalloped inner band gives way to a cream floral border and soft fringe at the ends, while silk highlights pick out the finer motifs so the pattern reads with crisp definition. The hand made construction gives the pile a dense, tactile quality—wool provides a warm, substantial feel beneath the foot and silk adds a low, reflective sheen on the pattern’s raised areas.
