A central medallion and scrolling vinework sit on a cream ground, where delicate palmettes and floral arabesques unfold in beige, brown and olive with light-blue highlights. Warm pink and soft red tones form the medallion and the surrounding border, while silk accents pick out fine details and add a gentle sheen against the wool base. Hand made of wool and silk, the rug has a plush, tactile wool surface with silk-thread highlights that sharpen the pattern and create a smooth, slightly lustrous feel underhand, finished with hand-tied fringe at each end.
