Hand made of cowhide & leather, this rug is assembled from small diamond-shaped patches stitched together to form a tight harlequin pattern. The background is a rich Dark Brown, punctuated by varying Brown tones that range from warm chestnut to deep chocolate and near-black accents. The hair-on-hide surface has a low, natural nap with a soft tactile feel and a subtle sheen that catches light differently across each patch, while visible grain and slight color variation add natural character.
