The piece
Kamla
Handmade of 100% wool, this rug presents a soft, low-profile flatweave with subtle horizontal banding. The background color is gray, woven with lighter ivory and warm taupe accents that create a gentle, tonal striation. Narrow bands of tiny geometric weaves — small diamond and linear stitch motifs — add visual depth while keeping the overall look calm and refined. The wool has a slightly slubby hand and a natural matte luster, offering a warm, tactile surface underfoot.

This piece works well in modern-minimal and Scandinavian interiors where its quiet texture complements clean lines, and it also fits comfortably in transitional or coastal schemes that favor neutral layers. Use it to anchor a living room seating group beneath a low-profile sofa and coffee table, place it under a dining table to soften wood tones, or layer it in a bedroom to add warmth and subtle pattern without overwhelming the décor.
