Kilim Modern
Hand-woven in 100% wool, this flatwoven kilim presents a finely striped, multi-hued field as its base, with thin horizontal bands of beige, light brown, rust red, burgundy, light salmon and subtle gold threaded with touches of blue, light blue, green, olive, gray and yellow. A braided, raised cord forms an oversized diamond lattice across the surface, the braid carrying darker accents of black, brown and turquoise that give the pattern clear definition against the warm, mottled background. The weave sits low to the floor with a firm hand; the wool’s natural texture feels slightly dry and structured underfoot while the braided cords add a pleasingly tactile relief and trimmed tassel ends provide a casual finish.
