With walking dog several times a day and general traffic in and out this rug gets the most abuse especially with crazy wet weather we have been having. When it gets nasty it’s easily shook out and if need be laundered. Highly recommend non slip pad underneath if you have wood or solid surface floors.

I really love the colors and the thickness of it but sadly what others have reported about its durability especially after being carefully washed has been true for my rug as well. The braids are indeed stitched together with weak thin thread and they come apart. Unfortunately I am now shopping to replace it. I do not recommend the rug for any high traffic area or its washability.

The recycled material looks like it will wash well and hold up to the wear and tear of being inside our front door during the Chicago winter. So far it is hiding stains from salty snow melt from our boots. I’m excited I will just be able to throw it in the washing machine if it gets scuzzy looking. It shipped much more quickly than I expected and I had it within just a couple of days. Rather than buying the rug pad for it through this website I found a significantly cheaper one elsewhere.

Reviewing a different size or color: 2x3 · Black and WhiteI ordered this rug in a 4' x 6' thinking it might be similar to the other 'washable' rugs I have ordered from Rugs.com. Those were very thin, yet durable. Mostly designed for outdoor but also can be used for indoor. This rug I knew would be thicker because it's woven, but there's no way this rug is going in the washer. Maybe because of its size. It's in our kitchen, so it will get dirty. So far, there's been a couple of spots already and those do clean up easily with water and a sponge. The rug is heavy enough that I would think even a smaller size would not work well in the washer. I'm still getting used to the rug but it is beautiful and well-made. Just not sure it's going to be what I had hoped because it will not just pop into the washer. It is truly a woven rug (similar to braided). I would think it would be ideal in a space with less traffic where washing would not be an issue. It has plenty of white, so it will get dirty.
