Tabriz
A traditional Persian-style medallion rug with a warm orange ground framing a cream field filled with scrolling vines, palmettes and floral sprays. Hand made of wool and silk, the design layers soft pinks, beige, blue and brown accents against the orange and cream foundation. The wool provides a plush, dense body while the silk highlights pick out fine details and lend a gentle, reflective sheen to the medallion and floral motifs; the surface invites touch, offering a pleasing contrast between the matte wool areas and the smooth silk highlights.
