Hand made of wool and silk, this Persian-style medallion rug combines a soft pink ground with a cream central field to highlight an ornate floral medallion and scrolling vine work. The pattern balances palmettes, tiny rosettes and delicate arabesques in a palette of pink, cream, beige, red, brown, blue and olive, with the pink background framing the composition. The wool pile feels soft and warm underfoot while silk highlights provide a gentle, natural sheen that catches light across the finer outlines and floral details, giving the design dimensionality and a refined hand.
