The piece
Kashkuli
A rich red field anchors a row of three squared medallions, each filled with finely worked geometric and floral motifs in dark blue, blue, yellow, orange, green and brown. A stepped inner border and a wider outer band of alternating panel blocks provide structure, with ochre and navy panels punctuating the composition. The overall effect is a traditional, geometric-medallion design with decorative floral accents that give the piece visual depth and rhythm.
