Product Description
This Kazak collection rug is a hand-knotted piece meticulously crafted from 100% hand-spun wool, offering a highly durable and substantial feel underfoot. Measuring 7x10 feet, it presents a bold red background which serves as a striking canvas for the traditional geometric patterning. The designs feature a rich array of colors including blue, brown, ivory, navy blue, and green, which together create a sophisticated and vibrant aesthetic.
The intricate borders surround a series of ornamental medallions, each meticulously detailed and displaying an exceptional level of craftsmanship. The texture of the wool provides a warmth and density that speaks to the quality of the hand-spun materials used.
This rug has a classic appeal that can enhance traditional and eclectic interiors alike. The deep red base and intricate designs would complement rooms with rich wooden furniture or leather accents, adding a sense of history and elegance to the space. Similarly, it could serve as a focal point in a more modern setting, bringing warmth and complexity to minimalist decor. The presence of fringe adds an additional element of classic style to the piece.
The rug's robust construction and timeless pattern make it well suited for high-traffic areas such as living rooms, dining rooms, or foyers, where it can anchor the space while withstanding the demands of everyday use.

Dining Room
Choose a rug that extends at least 24 inches beyond each side of the table so chairs can slide in and out comfortably.
Entryway
A 3x5 or 4x6 rug works well for most entryways. Make sure it does not interfere with the door opening.
Living Room
For a seating area, choose a rug large enough so that at least the front legs of all furniture pieces sit on the rug. Common sizes are 8x10 or 9x12.
Kitchen
A runner rug works great in front of the sink or stove. For larger kitchens, a 4x6 or 5x8 can anchor the space.
Bedroom
Place a large rug under the bed so it extends 2-3 feet on each side, or use smaller rugs on either side of the bed.
Outdoor
Measure your patio or deck area and choose a rug that fits within the furniture grouping, leaving a few inches of clearance on all sides.
- Vacuum regularly on a low suction setting to remove surface dirt.
- Spot clean stains immediately with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
- Deep clean by hand using a mixture of cool water and mild wool-safe soap.
- Have the rug professionally cleaned every 3-5 years.
- Rotate the rug every 6 months to ensure even wear and fading.
Consider the existing colors in your room, including walls, furniture, and decor. A rug can either complement or contrast with these elements.
Lighter colors make a room feel larger and more open, while darker colors add warmth and coziness.
If your room has a lot of patterns, choose a solid or subtly patterned rug. If your room is mostly solid colors, a patterned rug can add visual interest.
