Hand-knotted from wool and silk, this rug presents a traditional stepped-medallion layout with mirrored geometric motifs and a layered border of triangular and palmette-like forms. The taupe field provides a warm, neutral backdrop while bands of beige, brown and ivory create soft contrast; black and green define the pattern edges and small violet accents add a subtle, unexpected note. The wool pile feels soft and substantial underfoot, while silk highlights pick up light and sharpen the pattern’s lines.
