A friend of mine got this rug several years ago in the pink color and I've always admired hers so when it was time for me to get a new rug I was excited to get the same rug but in the vanilla bean color. I was a little bit anxious about color based on reviews bc pics are so hard to tell as everyone's lighting is different. It was hard to tell if the vanilla bean was going to pull too cool icy or gray which is what I did not want but it actually is perfectly neutral and harmonizes very well with my other rugs that are a bit warmer in Tone. I feel like it could go really well with pretty much any decor style. It's earthy while also being elegant and feels great under foot and is just a really nice plushy cozy rug. I spent about 20 minutes vacuuming it (had to empty my small canister a few times but that's to be expected with wool) and then me and my friend rolled around on it with black cotton shirts and it seems pretty good to go with the shedding so hopefully that will continue. I'm really happy with it so far.

I ordered in the light grey the nursery walls are pale blue and even make the rug look a little blue. However when not next to pale blue walls it is true grey. Also received the rug two days after ordering! Highly recommend!
Reviewing a different size or color: 8x10 · Grey ManorI was so nervous this rug would not be the same color as pictured online...but it was! It's a very light beige with light taupey-gray striations. I was also afraid it wouldn't be soft...and when I unrolled it and walked on it it wasn't. Then my husband said he thought I put it down upside down (embarrassing....) and he was right! It is VERY soft on bare tootsies! The length is perfect and the price was I thought a wonderful value. I'm really happy with it!

The wool is lovely and soft. Came rolled; ends slightly turned up but perfectly flat within a week. I also purchased the performance underpad which makes the carpet even cushier. However our floor is not perfectly level and the underpad does not hold the carpet perfectly in place. Would probably be fine on a flat surface. Very pleased with the purchase and the service.

I think the delivery procedure, however, could have been more in keeping with the cost. The rug was placed outside my door, folded and half out of the plastic bag. Thankfully is was that wrong side that was dirty and needed to be vacuumed ahead of placement.

Reviewing a different size or color: 5x8 · Grey ManorIs softer on bare feet than I expected as some wool rugs can feel coarse. It has a nice pile height with a standard no-slip pad. There are small fibers that seem to come out of the rug upon first laying out but I haven’t noticed them to keep shedding after subsequent vacuuming.
