The piece
Tabriz
Hand made of 100% wool, this rug presents a traditional medallion pattern set against a rich red field. The central medallion and corner spandrels are worked in ivory and warm beige, while scrolling floral vines and palmettes in gold, green and soft blue fill the field. A deep navy border with ivory guard bands frames the composition, and short knotted fringe finishes the ends. The wool pile feels dense and tightly woven to the touch, offering a warm, slightly cushioned underfoot texture that wears with character over time.
