Is my braided rug defective?

Braided rugs are popular items, mainly because they are made from natural materials such as jute and chindi cotton. Braided rugs are handwoven and sewn together, creating a non-uniform design and look making each one unique in its own way. Due to the fact that these are hand-braided, they may have lumps, knots, and noticeably raised sections that, to the untrained eye, may seem to be a defect, but are actually part of the rug's rustic and artisanal design.
